We’re thrilled to announce that our U13 boys and U11 boys teams emerged as champions of the Uganda Youth Football Association National qualifiers at the sub-region level. This achievement is a testament to their hard work and dedication during the holiday season.
Last Year’s Success
Our now U15 team set the bar high last year by qualifying as champions of Kawempe sub-region and representing us at the national championship in Western Uganda. This year, our U13 boys were determined to follow in their footsteps.
Tournament Highlights
The qualifiers were staged at Wampeewo, where our boys competed against top teams and emerged victorious. Their results:
- Sokolo 2-1 Superheroes
- Sokolo 0-0 Twinbrook
- Sokolo 3-0 Prostate
These two wins and a draw put us at the top of the table, advancing us to the Regional level where we’ll compete against the best teams in Kampala.
Standout Player
Prosper, our young player, was the star of the tournament, scoring beautiful goals and celebrating like his idol, Palmer, who plays in the Premier League. “I feel like Cold Palmer!” he exclaimed.

U11s: Champions of Kawempe Sub-region

Our U11s also had an impressive run, emerging as champions of the sub-region. Although they won’t advance to the next level, they gained invaluable experience and confidence.
Results:
Sokolo 0-0 Kasangati Academy
Sokolo 1-0 Twinyiriza
Sokolo 4-0 Twinbrook
U15 Team Shows Promise

Our U15 team also participated in the Sub-region qualifiers, demonstrating great potential and learning valuable lessons.
A Recap of the Matches
The team played three matches, securing one win, one draw, and one loss. While the outcome wasn’t what they had hoped for, their performance was commendable.
Lessons Learned and Future Prospects
This experience has provided our U15 team with invaluable insights and lessons that will help them grow and improve. We’re proud of their resilience and teamwork.
Gratitude and Call to Action
We thank everyone who contributed to our team’s success and call upon more support to help facilitate and prepare for the Regional level competition.
Congratulations to our double champions. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for our talented young players.
