As the year draws to a close, Sokolo Foundation is excited to launch its final fundraising campaign of 2024. This critical initiative supports three life-changing programs that harness the transformative power of football to empower marginalized youth in Uganda.
The Power of Football
At Sokolo Foundation, we’ve witnessed firsthand the impact of football on young lives. Our programs have:
- Developed essential life skills and social cohesion
- Fostered teamwork, discipline, and healthy lifestyles
- Provided opportunities for education and personal growth
Three Life-Changing Programs.
This campaign supports the following initiatives:
1. Sokolo Junior League (December 4, 2024 – February 23, 2025)
- 24 teams competing across three age groups (B11, B13, and B15)
- Twice weekly matchdays (Wednesdays and Thursdays)
- Showcasing emerging talent and teamwork
2. Annual Camp in Jinja
- 8-day immersive experience for 2,000 youth from Uganda
- Football, education, and personal development activities
- Building confidence, resilience, and social skills
3. Christmas Party for Kawempe Slum Community.
- Joyful celebration for our young players and community kids
- Food, games, and festive cheer
