The Sokolo Junior League is thrilled to announce its second edition, building on the success of last year’s inaugural tournament. This exciting youth football competition provides a platform for over 500 talented young players from Kawempe community to showcase their skills, develop their talents, and pursue their dreams.
Tournament Overview:
The Sokolo Junior League 2024/25 will feature 24 teams competing across three age categories: B11, B13, and B15. Each category will comprise eight teams, with matches played on weekdays. The league is scheduled to kick off on December 4, 2024, and conclude on January 23, 2025.
League Structure:
- B11 (7v7): Every Wednesday
- B13 (9v9): Every Wednesday
- B15 (11v11): Every Thursday
Objectives:
The Sokolo Junior League aims to:
- Provide a competitive platform for young players to develop their football skills.
- Offer opportunities for players to be scouted by schools and football academies.
- Foster physical activity, teamwork, and social interaction among participants.
- Promote healthy lifestyles and positive values through sports.
Defending Champions:
Sokolo Football Academy and Namugona Junior Team will look to defend their titles in the B11,B15 and B13 categories, respectively.
